Salary: $150,00 - $225,000+ DOE

Location: Pasadena, California (Hybrid Schedule)

Bar Req: Active California Bar in good standing

Billable Req: 1,850 Hours

The firm will consider applicants with plaintiff side experience for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Defend single-plaintiff employment claims involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and related workplace issues in state and federal courts.
  • Represent employers in proceedings before the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), EEOC, and California Labor Commission.
  • Provide day-to-day employment law advice and counsel to clients.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Handle law and motion practice, including:
    • Dispositive mtions
    • Motions to compel arbitration
    • Discovery-related motions
  • Prepare case evaluations and litigation strategies for clients.
  • Independently manage caseloads and practively drive matters toward resolution.
  • Prepare for and attend mediations, including drafting persuasive mediation briefs.
  • Attend court hearings, status conferences, and argue motions when appropriate.
  • Participate in arbitrations and trials.

Required Qualifications

  • Active admission to practice law in the State of California
  • Minimum 3 years of employment litigation experience.
  • Deposition experience
  • Discovery experience
  • Excellent research, analytical writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Compensation

  • $165,000 - $225,000 DOE
  • Discretionary bonus
